This fall online placement tests will be continuously available in 10 languages: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Spanish, and Swahili.

Come learn about the online language placement initiatives underway at Northwestern. Learn about the benefits and implications of the online paradigm. The pitfalls and special considerations encountered in the development process will also be discussed.

In addition to an explicit audience of language faculty, this presentation will provide information beneficial to those with roles in student advising: including freshman advisors, deans, and administrators. Instructional technologists and others interested in online evaluation and assessment may also gain from this presentation.
