Visualizing French Grammar

Margaret Sinclair, Senior Lecturer in the French and Italian Department, asked the MMLC to create advanced in-class materials to help students understand visually how French differs from English in the placement of parts of speech.

To create these materials a team of MMLC staff and interns built presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint, making use of some of its advanced features to maximize the pedagogical goals of the grammar exercise. In addition, the team filmed and edited short clips illustrating important grammar points and included them in the presentations.
